Carpenter

Lead Fire/Smoke Restoration Technician

Do you have previous experience working in the disaster restoration field or moving experience?  Do you have a positive attitude and great work ethic? Do you want to work for the largest, locally owned disaster restoration company in Central Oregon? Look no further! We want you!

General Responsibilities:

– Responding to emergency fire damage losses
– Fire and smoke restoration to include: demolition of non-salvageable material, cleaning of structure and contents, deodorize structure and contents, removal of contents and replacing contents upon job completion.
– Prepare necessary documents for insurance purposes
– Catalog all contents prior to removal from property
– Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
– Uphold job-site safety standards

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

– Experience with fire/smoke restoration a plus
– IICRC certification a plus
– Must have some construction experience
– Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). You will be communicating the process directly with customers, documenting files, and giving written and verbal instructions to field staff.
– A passion for customer service
– Capacity for physical labor
– Hunger to learn and apply the technical aspects of the restoration industry
– Willingness to work in a team environment
– A good driving record is a must

Water Technician

-Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). You will be communicating the mitigation process directly with customers, documenting files, and giving written and verbal instructions to field staff.
-Must provide excellent customer service.
-Must have some construction experience. You will demo floor coverings, sub floors, walls and framing.
-Must be detailed oriented. You will be completing documentation that will be submitted for insurance purposes and must be accurate.

– Write timely, accurate and comprehensive estimates for mitigation, restoration and construction projects

– Negotiate scope with adjustors

– Write and negotiate supplements to capture all costs

– Provide daily communication to all parties in a timely and professional manner

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

– At least 1 year experience writing, negotiating, and selling estimates written in the disaster restoration field

– Knowledge of water, fire and mold mitigation, cleaning, environmental, and full repairs on a wide variety of structures

– Knowledge of residential/ commercial construction, with an emphasis on remodel projects

– Experience writing estimates in Xactimate

– Strong attention to detail

– Excellent customer service skills

– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

– Computer literacy, primarily with MS Office products

– Experience with Chronicle or DASH a plus

– Must be a self-starter that has the ability to work autonomously and with a team

– Understands the role of an excellent estimator in the process of claims management from the start of mitigation until the end or repairs

– Great attitude and career minded
